Antenatal Services

Budo Specialist Hospital Pregnancy Care Services is aimed at getting Women to be fully involved in decisions about their care and treatment in pregnancy and therefore need to be given the knowledge to make informed decisions. Where appropriate, a woman’s partner and family should be involved and informed and their views and values respected. Good communication is crucial at every step in pregnancy. This is achieved through Antenatal Classes / Lectures and consulting the doctor or Gynecologist when necessary.

Budo Specialist Hospital Antenatal Classes is an informative Series of Lectures designed for Pregnant Women. It is divided into several sessions; The main Lecture with Questions and Answers session, Recommended / Guided Exercises and One-on-One Consultation with the Doctors / Gynecologists where various and routine Laboratory Investigations are interpreted and Medications given.

Our Antenatal Classes holds two weeks intervals.

Antenatal Sessions

Antenatal Lecture

The first Session is covered by health professionals with lectures and presentations in a conference hall, which gives room for open questions & answers with the Gynecologist or any other health Professional at the end of the lecture. An Antenatal candidates is expected to visit the laboratory for samples against series of routine test before going for the lecture.
The Lecture starts by 10 AM

Kegel Exercise

Next is a Guided Kegel Exercises by a physiotherapist. Kegel exercises During Pregnancy helps strengthen the muscles that support the bladder, uterus, and bowels. By strengthening these muscles during your pregnancy, you can develop the ability to relax and control the muscles in preparation for labor and birth. Pregnant women can come with their spouses if available.

Consultations

Face – to – Face chat with a health professional or a consultant Gynecologist for special cases is the Last stage of the Antenatal routine visit. At this stage result of routine laboratory tests are ready, interpretation and advice with medications are given to ensure healthy delivery. Antenatal Classes holds two weeks intervals (Wednesdays) and routine visit every Wednesday.
